After brainstorming many names for several months for our wedding and event venue, we kept coming back to something with “Black Fox” as we painted the exterior black. While visiting with our neighbors, Lynn and Dale Hiatt, they mentioned the various wildlife they had seen on our property over the years… amazingly, they had seen a black fox!! A couple of weeks later, Lynn brought the game camera photos showing the black fox and his red mate on the field where our ceremonies are held. Of course, this was a sign – we had to name it Black Fox on Welsh!

Newly engaged? It’s such an exciting time planning for your big day! Have you been looking for a wedding venue with a country feel but close to town so that your guests don’t need to worry about driving a long distance, but you still have views of Pole Mountain and Wyoming’s big blue skies as the backdrop to your outdoor ceremony?
Every couple wants their friends and family to enjoy the day with them without the hassle and stress of decorating, setting up, and cleaning up at the end of the night. Black Fox helps relieve the stress from you and your family by taking care of those things for you.
With two connecting indoor spaces at Black Fox you can have one room set up for your reception (maximum capacity of 106-118 depending on layout) and the other room for your dance floor and/or an indoor ceremony, we can easily flip it from the ceremony site to the dance floor in the Timber Room while your guests are socializing during cocktail hour!
Are you worried about the weather? At Black Fox we know that can be a big stress on your special day, however rest assured that you can have your ceremony inside and your reception in one of the two connected spaces.
We don’t typically think of weddings in Wyoming during the colder months, but you can have that fall wedding you dreamed of or the winter white wedding even when the weather outside isn’t cooperative. Both spaces are heated, have ceiling fans, and the Timber room is air-conditioned.
What does your rental fee include?
Have you been gathering ideas for many months about your dream wedding? You can access Echos of Yesterday’s extensive décor and furniture inventory. And the best thing about that is that you don’t even have to figure out what to do with all of the décor once your wedding is over!
Bringing your dreams to life – our team members will help you style your selected décor and set up. You, your wedding party, and your family can focus on enjoying the day and not worrying about the little details of decorating, set-up, and the dreaded end-of-the-night cleanup!

It all started with catering from our coffee shop/restaurant, Turtle Rock Coffee, and Ashlyn’s wedding, where we decided we wanted to do it all (as in all décor, catering, flowers, etc. – however, we don’t recommend this if you and your family hope to enjoy your wedding!) From then on, we began gathering items, and our collection of treasures has multiplied since then! Our vintage and eclectic collections from Echos of Yesterday are handpicked for their charm and uniqueness. Before purchasing additional decor, please schedule your visit with us to ensure it’s not something we already have.
